^Hellbound for DOOM 2 I have played the living shit out of this one. It begins with the DOOM guy in his apartment when the hell invasion of earth kicks off, so you're already in the action just as the ID software intended with the vanilla game. Fortunately there is nothing mechanically alien game play wise, it's simply more DOOM for experienced players. It gets extremely challenging at times and regularly overwhelms the player with demonic forces, despite this it pairs well with the Brutal DOOM mod, functioning flawlessly as rebdoom (iykyk) intended. Because of the chaos, this wad ultimately feels like Serious Sam without all the shit. I love it. My only issue with this wad is the awful arena at the end, enemies completely coat it like thick primer, and nothing effectively communicates how to initiate the exit portal. Genuine try hard slop, but otherwise the difficulty remains consistent enough for experienced DOOM players. 9 dead nigger ape imps out of 10, will replay again.
